Fall Instagram Picture Ideas + Tips

Guys, I’m freaking out.

FALL INSTAGRAM PICTURE IDEAS

Since I live in Houston and we don’t get fall weather until maybe October, fall starts here and now. September 1st means pumpkin spice lattes, vanilla pumpkin candles, and dark nail polish. Yep, I’m one of those people, and I don’t care who knows it!

It seems like it was just a couple weeks ago that I posted my summer Instagram picture ideas, but hey…while we’re on the subject of fall, let’s just jump right in to fall Instagram picture ideas!

It’s a new season which means new tactics to boost engagement on social media.

Go #basicwhitegirl this fall

If sweatpants, fuzzy socks, and a PSL in one hand make me a #basicwhitegirl this fall then so be it! I’ll be sure to take a few snaps of that look while I’m at it.

The thing with Instagram is that people like photos that are either relatable or desirable.

Graphic tee with a cute saying, Starbucks cup, and a messy bun? Relatable.

Beautiful aeriel view picture in a field of pumpkins and hay bales? Desirable.

Both of these Instagram photo ideas will be liked, commented on, and will circulate throughout the explore page. When it comes to fall on Instagram, people want to see what fall candles you’re burning or how cute your new blanket scarf is! Don’t be afraid to be “basic”.

Show your favorite fall recipes

The way to an Instagram user’s heart is through their stomach! (Err… did I just mix metaphors?) Nothing entices me more as a scroll through my feed than seeing a beautifully posed picture of some yummy pumpkin pie, warm soup, or even a fun candy apple.

Strut in a great fall outfit

Leggings, t-shirt dresses, booties galore. Stand in front of your trusty brick wall (or the most attractive building on your college campus) and get that #ootd shot! Be sure to tag the brands you’re wearing and in return, ask your followers what they like to wear for fall! Engaging your Instagram audience is key all year ’round, but there are some great opportunities in the fall to get creative with hearing what they have to say.

Fall scenery makes a great photo

I can’t wait for the leaves to change, so I can get some gorgeous shots of those red and yellow leaves. Keep your eyes peeled on your way to class and you may just get a great photo to improve your Instagram theme!

I know that fall for me means lots of long hours spent studying. Instead of pouting over the lack of social media activity on my end, I simply snap a picture while I’m studying to post to my Instagram feed! Going back to the concept of being relatable, a photo of some textbook notes and a latte can really peak user’s interests considering most people are spending a lot of fall studying just like you.

What are your tips for the perfect fall-inspired Instagram feed?

X,
