What made you decide to start blogging?

I loved reading fashion and lifestyle blogs and one day I just decided, “Hey! I could totally do this!” It was the summer after I graduated high school and I felt like I was ready to go off and do something different and creative. I figured it would be something that would be a constant for me when I moved out of state for college. It’s grown into my own little business and it’s my most treasured hobby and passion.

How do you shop for fashionable and trendy items with a college budget?

I tend to gravitate towards classic pieces rather than trendy items and that’s what I spend my money on. (Think a quality pair of jeans, simple black pumps, or a peacoat). I also buy things that are very versatile. I want something I can spend $20 on and then wear 20 different ways. I do most of my shopping during high sale times to get the most out of my money.

What is your major?

I am an Advertising major at the University of Houston with a minor in Retail and Consumer Science.

How long have you and Cameron been dating?

As of November 2017, we will have been dating for 7 years 🙂

What kind of camera do you use?

Nikon D3200….but mostly my iPhone 6+!

Are there any sites/apps you use to take notes on Mac? Or do you prefer handwritten notes?

Primarily, I take notes by hand. When I take notes in class, it’s in an old-fashioned spiral notebook. However, later on when I’m studying, I might transfer terms to notecards or build a powerpoint presentation to serve as giant notecards for easy studying. I will also rewrite notes at least once in some way, shape, or form, so that I remember the material better.

Where do you get the majority of your inspiration for posts?

I really just write about what is going on in my life and/or the life of those around me. It helps me to sit down and write out my feelings or what I’m going through and it’s just an extra added bonus if my readers can relate!

Do you like your Apple Watch? Which kind do you have?

I love my watch! I primarily use it as a “notification center” and to track my workouts. Currently, I work in media and I have alerts on for when my company tweets, so those will pop up on my watch and I can quickly see them at my desk without opening Twitter on my phone. (I’m often just checking for typos if I was the one who sent the tweet!)

All my texts and calls come through on the watch, too. I like that my phone can be charging in the distance or in my work bag and I know if my boss is dinging me or if I’m getting an invitation from one of my friends for dinner.

I have the 38mm (smaller sized) one with the lavender sports band. I got it for Christmas 2015 as a gift from Cam!
