6 Fall Lipsticks
I was writing this post about my organization tactics, and when I mentioned my little pouch for all my lipsticks, I decided it would be fun to share these perfect fall lipsticks with you all!
I don’t know about you, but a dark, autumnal lip is definitely on that mental list of “fall things” for me. Right next to pumpkin spiced everything and oversized sweaters. I can’t believe I didn’t mention lipsticks in my recent fall essentials post.
Anyway, let me introduce you to my 6 favorite fall lipsticks and provide some outfit inspiration with them!
(1) Mary Kay Creme Lipstick in “Maple”
Price: $15
Why I Love It: This is by far the most moisturizing lipstick I’ve ever worn! It glides on and the color is really buildable. (It’s definitely not matte, but the color is bold after a few swipes.) It’s got a bit of brown in it, so it’s a bit more mute and looks great with neutrals.
What I’d Wear It With:
I love Julia’s relaxed and cozy look in this post of hers.
(2) NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in “03 Ruffle Trim”
Price: $6.99
Why I Love It: I remember the day I bought this last fall. I even vlogged a first impression! I had really been wanting to try a liquid no-transfer lipstick for fall because I wanted something that would last through my long school days…or just through my sipping on my chai latte! Haha. This is AMAZING, and the color is still my favorite. I wear it all year round!
What I’d Wear It With:
I found this image via Pinterest and I’d love to find a multi-colored knit sweater like this for fall. Here’s a similar option!
(3) Maybelline Color Sensational in “Are You Red-y?”
Price: $5.59
Why I Love it: It’s the perfect red lip! Might as well grab it now to stock up for holiday parties, or maybe you’ll need it for your Halloween costume.
What I’d Wear It With:
This is my go-to look for fall. Chambray with a big sweater over it, jeans, and booties. The red lip adds a sophisticated pop of color.
(4) Maybelline Color Sensational in “Crazy For Coffee”
Price: $5.59
Why I Love It: I bought this amazing lipstick as a dupe for Mac’s “Creme in Your Coffee”, a quintessential fall hue. Can you tell I’m obsessed with Maybelline’s Color Sensational line? It’s affordable, build-able, and doesn’t dry out my lips. I wouldn’t say it’s super long wear, but it holds up well with only a couple touch ups throughout the day.
What To Wear It With:
That “totally tumblr” fall look calls for this lipstick. I’m really wanting to eventually get these overalls to wear with my favorite boyfriend shirt to recreate this look.
(5) Marc Jacob’s Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
Price: $30
Why I Love It: This one is great for when I need a little more of a mauve. If I’m already wearing something dark or just feel like I need to liven up my look. This was a free sample from Sephora, and I have to say that the full size is a little pricey, but the formula is great and non-drying.
What I’d Wear It With:
The Teacher Diva looks so cute here! I think this is a really classic fall look with a lot of great neutrals, so this lipstick would bring a pop of fall color.
(6) Kat Von D’s Lolita
Price: $21
Why I Love It: I LOVE this one. It was my first “big girl” lipstick.. a.k.a. something that wasn’t under $6 from Target or a free sample. The color is great and I always get compliments. It’s similar to #4 but it has a bit more mauve in it, so it’s less of a brown.
What I’d Wear It With:
It’s definitely a fall date night or girl’s night out lipstick. I’m really wanting an embroidered dress like this one for nights like that!
